Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an e-visa and visa on arrival?

An e-visa is issued online: you print the PDF and go straight to immigration. Visa on arrival requires an approval letter first, then you pay a US$25 stamping fee and get the visa stamped at one of the four international airports.

How long does it take?

Normal service takes about 7 working days. Urgent options range from 4 working days down to 2 working hours. Results are issued on working days; weekend emergencies are handled case by case.

What do I need to upload?

A clear scan or photo of your passport information page (all four corners visible) and a recent portrait photo on a white background, without glasses.

Is this the official government website?

No. NEXTOUR is a licensed private travel company that applies on your behalf and charges a service fee. You can also apply yourself on the official portal evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn.

What if my details are wrong?

Please check your name, date of birth and passport number carefully. Corrections after the e-visa is issued require a new application and extra fees.
